"SHE": THE NEW DREAMY EP
BY IMAINA IS OUT NOW

For fans of Kali Uchis, Men I Trust, The Marías

The Latina artist from Brussels, IMAINA, releases her second EP, "SHE." A journey towards healing, it consists of 6 indie-pop and Latin-pop tracks in both English and Spanish. Sensual and dreamy, this EP will make you love yourself a little more.

While IMAINA's first EP, "Wounds," explored dark themes like loneliness, dependency, and violence, her second EP, "SHE," tells the continuation of the story and takes a turn towards healing, exploring brighter and more positive narratives.

"SHE" is her personal diary, where she shares her love adventures, failures, and experiences as a young Latina woman living in Belgium.

The lead single from the EP is "Estoy Mejor" (I’m feeling better in Spanish), a catchy and sunny track accompanied by a music video that offers glimpses of IMAINA’s life and joyful moments from the past year.

Written and composed by the artist herself and co-produced with Coy Lurker, her brother, "SHE" offers refreshing, authentic, and unique pop in the Belgian music scene.

ABOUT IMAINA

Enchanting siren, Imaina invites us into her luminously melancholic and sensual universe. Born in Bolivia to a Bolivian mother and a Belgian father, she grew up following her nomadic parents around the world and listening to an eclectic mix of genres.

The artist began writing and composing her own songs at the age of 13, and when she arrived in Brussels at 18, she sang in bars, on the streets of Brussels, and posted covers on YouTube to get noticed. She was then discovered by the producers of The Voice Belgique and participated in the 7th season of the show. This experience gave her the boost she needed to pursue a career in music. Full of ideas, she started using the tools at her disposal to create a sound that is uniquely hers, with a strong visual identity.

Imaina released her first single, "I'm Yours," in 2019, which was used in a fashion campaign for Vogue Russia. She also wrote for Stéréoclip's album "Travel." Her first EP, "Wounds," was released in 2021 and was well received in Belgium and Bolivia, with TV and radio airplay and concerts at Beursschouwburg, Recyclart, VK, De Kriekelaar, among others.

After that, she released several more singles, including "Sola" featuring the Liège artist Haumea, "Corazón," and "The One," which were included in several major Latin American playlists on Spotify.

Imaina is very open and honest when it comes to sharing her personal experiences. She was interviewed by Le Vif about the fetishization of racialized women in Belgium, a topic close to her heart and one she addresses in her song "Glass Box."

Her second EP, "SHE," is now available on all platforms.
